Background

Elizabeth (Liz) Gill is a Program Manager at Earth Finance on the Renewable Fuels team. Liz is a climate and clean energy strategist with deep experience translating ambitious policy into effective implementation. Her work sits at the intersection of public sector climate investment, program design, and cross-sector coordination, with a focus on delivering measurable and equitable outcomes.

Prior to joining Earth Finance, Liz served as Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s $7 billion Solar for All program. In this role, she led strategy development, operational oversight, and executive decision-making processes to support nationwide deployment. Earlier in her career, at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Liz led complex energy and climate initiatives supporting federal, state, tribal, and local partners.

Liz holds an MSc in Nature, Society, and Environmental Policy from the University of Oxford and a BA in Political Science/Politics from Willamette University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors on a bike or skis, days at the park, and listening to audiobooks.
