We bring deep expertise in legislation and policy at the local, state, federal, and international levels and specialize in aligning policy and market forces in vital areas ranging from carbon markets (Clean Fuel Standards, Cap-and-Invest, and more) to the built environment, agriculture, and ocean health.

We are actively involved in building supportive policies, engaging stakeholders, and convening cross-sector coalitions and understand how to navigate the legislative and regulatory arenas needed to finance and deploy high value programs.

The power of state and local government

More than ever, climate leadership has shifted to state and local governments. The West Coast in particular is primed to carry the torch with the unification of renewable fuels markets, nation-leading policies like the Washington Climate Commitment Act (CCA), and compliance-driven disclosure mandates including California’s Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (SB 253) and Climate-Related Financial Risk Act (SB 261).
