Background

Elysabeth Alfano is a successful executive, a global sustainable food systems advisor, a media personality and strategist, and a keen investor. She was the CEO of VegTech™ Invest, the Advisor to the Food System Transformation ETF, EATV, listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Elysabeth began her career with The Kellogg Company working on Special K and Frosted Mini- Wheats before moving into investing and media. A graduate of Northwestern University and the Thunderbird School of Global Management, Elysabeth currently advises and consults C-Suite Executives on the sustainable food industry landscape, trends, innovations and whitespaces.

A Who’s Who in global, sustainable food systems and novel protein technologies, Elysabeth's experience includes developing brand and communication strategies for novel food products and advising on sustainability and product partnerships. She maintains a deep and wide network up and down the supply chain in manufacturing, food science, sourcing inputs, celebrity investors and key stakeholders, and is often called upon to forge strategic partnerships.

A known thought leader, media personality and strategist, Elysabeth speaks internationally on the intersection of innovation, sustainability, and our global food supply system. She has spoken at the U.N. Global Leaders Compact Summit, the United Nations Climate Change Summit, COP27 and COP28, Yale University, Northwestern University, The University of California- Berkley, the University of California-San Diego, and Arizona State University. She has been featured on Bloomberg TV and Bloomberg Radio, Ameritrade TV, Motley Fool TV, ABC, WGN TV and WGN Radio, PBS, NPR, NYSE-TV, FinTechTV and at the New York Stock Exchange, several Bloomberg Intelligence events and numerous conferences.

In addition to being a known engaging public speaker, Elysabeth hosted two business podcasts. The Plantbased Business Hour was a podcast considered “The Gold Standard” for those who wanted to understand, participate in, and capitalize on the growing innovation and sustainability of that sector. She was also the Voice of Sustainability for the New York Stock Exchange, hosting the Upside & Impact: Investing for Change podcast.

Frequently tapped for her unique expertise regarding food system transformation, Elysabeth has contributed to Sustain Finance*, ESG Clarity, Vegconomist Magazine, Factset Insights, CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Association), Advisorpedia and FinTechTV on a regular basis.
