Background
Joost Notenboom is a seasoned investor and operator in PE/VC across The Netherlands, Australia and France, and works with various early stage investors and companies.
He previously served as the first Head of ESG & Sustainability at Omnes Capital in Paris, a mid market growth equity and VC investor focused on the energy transition -- and is a member of the Impact Committee at Innovation Industries, one of the largest deeptech VC's in Europe.
Joost also serves as a Venture Partner at AIxTerra Ventures, an early stage investor in AI-first climate solutions for a resilient planet and secure Europe.
Joost previously held roles in banking, insurance and management consulting, and he is a contributing expert for Sustainability Unlocked, a market-leading online education platform for company-wide upskilling on sustainability.
Besides his executive roles, Joost is the co-founder of a global grassroots cycling initiative to raise actionable attention to some of the world’s sustainable development challenges. In this capacity he has cycled 30,000 kilometres from the Arctic to the Antarctic on a bamboo bicycle -- which has inspired several spin offs and continuations.
Joost has finished tertiary degrees in Rotterdam, London and Tel Aviv and served as a board member for a local farming cooperative focused on regenerative agriculture in Utrecht.
He is based in The Netherlands with his wife and two children.
