As the VP of Technology at Earth Finance, Shaun Mitchell leverages over 26 years of IT industry experience to lead strategic technology alignment and innovation. Shaun’s expertise lies at the intersection of Cloud strategy, Geospatial intelligence, and Cyber Security, where he has consistently driven large-scale digital transformations for complex organizations. He is recognized for his ability to translate high-level business goals into robust, scalable technical architectures.
Prior to joining Earth Finance, Shaun worked as a Customer Engineer at Google Maps, where he partnered with organizations across North and South America to ensure they extracted maximum value from the Google Maps Platform. During his tenure, he was instrumental in advancing the Street View Insights product offering—specifically through the integration of LiDAR features—and spearheaded initiatives in Generative AI and Cloud Fleet Routing.
Shaun’s executive career also includes serving as Managing Director of Cloud and Strategic Architecture at ATB Financial, where he spearheaded the organization’s cloud-native migration, and Director of IT Operations and Support at Western Financial Group, where he managed the transition from hosted datacenter into the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Shaun combines deep technical proficiency with a disciplined executive approach to IT governance and engineering excellence.
