Background
Jimmy Jia is a Senior Advisor at Earth Finance with 15 years of strategy experience helping corporations shift investments into greening their infrastructure.
Jimmy previously founded and ran a boutique energy management and strategy company serving government, retail, multi-family housing, and publicly listed companies. Now, he sits on the boards of the Center for Sustainable Energy, a nonprofit administering electric vehicle and solar programs across the United States, as well as the CleanTech Alliance, a Seattle-based trade association representing more than 1,100 organizations. He is also the ESG Venture Partner at PiLabs, Europe’s largest and most active PropTech venture capital fund.
Passionate about transforming thought around corporate sustainability, Jimmy spent time as a faculty member at Presidio Graduate School and is currently a Visiting Scholar at George Washington University, where he teaches the Decarbonizing Corporate Strategy executive education course. His books have been sold in over 29 countries.
He received his B.S. and M.S. in Material Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Oxford, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sustainable Finance at Oxford University.
